AFA Under Tile Heating Wire is an optimal solution for heating small or challenging floor spaces. Our wires deliver 3.7 W per linear foot. Spacing the wire more closely increases the heat output per square foot. Designed for direct installation under tile floors or beneath certain types of carpet, vinyl, and wooden flooring, our heating wires are dual-wired and earth screened, making them safe for use in bathrooms and other moist areas. Despite their slim profile, the wires’ Teflon coating ensures high mechanical durability, while the multi-stranded design of the heating elements provides excellent flexibility. The AFA series is available in various lengths, allowing for versatile configurations to heat rooms of different sizes efficiently. The AFA series is an effective and secure electric floor heating solution for indoor environments, not suitable for outdoor snow melting tasks. Primarily intended for installation beneath tile, stone, and similar masonry flooring materials, it should not be installed directly under vinyl, carpet, or wooden floors. The AFA Under Tile Heating series must be embedded in cement-based polymer modified mortar as per UL guidelines, avoiding the use of glues, adhesives, or premixed mortars due to their lower heat resistance. Flooring materials like carpet, vinyl, or hardwood may cover the cables, provided they are first installed in mortar.
